Zouk KL Goes Big!
MALAYSIA – Great beat, awesome crowd, alluring light display, and bountiful food and drinks, what more can one ask for? On 21st August 2015, the new Zouk officially open its dance floors and venues to their loyal and club goers, bigger this time! Established in Singapore, Zouk has become one of Asia’s iconic landmark for club goers. Rooted in Jalan Ampang for 11 years, Zouk Kuala Lumpur relocated to their very own building in TREC (Taste, Relish, Experience, Celebrate) at Jalan Tun Razak, a modern landscape fitting for the youth and the young at heart. The RM38 million building is an architecture marvel itself. With a space of 60,000sq and 11 different theme venues interconnected, it is certain that the new Zouk is capable of hosting large event and crowds.
The launch saw a huge crowd ranging from local, foreign press, celebrities, business associates and trendsetters, surrounding the entire premise with barely any space to move. The event started off with an opening speech from Zouk’s brand founder, Lincoln Cheng followed by Cher Ng the Founder of Zouk KL and TREC. Acoustic & Lighting System (A&L) personnel were among the guests there to witness their client’s opening night. A&L a well-recognized player in audio and lighting distribution industry, supplied Zouk with Cindy’s and Nouvoled’s LED moving head, moving wash and strobes for their rooms. Guests were able to explore all 11 rooms – Zouk Café Bar, Beer Garden, Zouk Main Room, Ace, Phuture, Velvet Underground, Member’s Lounge, Apex Lounge, Glass Box, Imperial and Balcony Deck. Each room was carefully designed with details according to their respective themes. To make things even more entertaining and fun, there is a slide from Imperial Lounge to the Member’s Lounge below. 22 units of Cindy X-300 and 18 units of Cindy EXW- 720 LED moving heads/wash brought out the colours in Main Room, enhanced by 8 units of Nouvoled Strobe.
The launch lasted for 3 hours before coming to an end with a spectacular fireworks display for all guests, but the party did not end till the sun is out! Acoustic & Lighting System would like to congratulate Zouk on its new opening with hopes of more Zouk outlets in the nation.
