DPA boosts its SEA presence
SOUTH EAST ASIA: Looking to boost its presence in South East Asia, DPA Microphones has appointed Acoustic & Lighting System as its new distributor for Singapore and Thailand, while Arcadia Tech has been named a direct dealer for the manufacturer in Singapore, covering the live, PA and MI markets.
Acoustic & Lighting System is based in Malaysia with regional offices in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. This distribution agreement marks the first time that the distributor has represented a major microphone manufacturer in Singapore and Thailand.
‘We strive to work with brands that can add value to our own brand portfolio, but also to the general pro audio community,’ explained Acoustic & Lighting System’s Singapore general manager, Eugene Yeo. ‘As a company with a strong heritage and unique technology, DPA has definitely created a distinctive brand identity in the market. The support of DPA’s Hong Kong office, together with our own expertise and understanding of local culture, will enable us to take the DPA brand to new heights.’
Arcadia Tech’s managing director, Ron Koh, commented on his company’s appointment as a direct dealer of DPA products. ‘DPA has always been the standard when purchasing microphones and with today’s requirement for content, quality audio products such as DPA are always going to be in demand from independent content creators,’ he said. ‘DPA Microphones continues to innovate and bring out products that just get better and better.’
