IFSEC Southeast Asia 2015
MALAYSIA – IFSEC (International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference) Southeast Asia, one of the largest exhibition and conferences for fire and security held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on the 2nd September to the 4th September 2015. This significant event was organized by UBM, a global event, marketing and communication company. The exhibition saw a high turn-up with at least 300 exhibitors and thousands of security products.
The exhibition kicked off with a welcoming speech by YBhg Tan Sri Dato Dr. Ahmad Mustaffa Babjee, the Chairman of UBM Malaysia and an opening address by YBhg Dato Sri Haji Mustapa Bin Haji Ali, the president of Asian Professional Security Association Malaysia. Throughout the exhibition there were conferences and talks regarding public and community securities, town and gated community planning, cyber awareness, urban securities and many more.
Riding on last year’s successful response, A.F.S. Security & Automation (“AFS”) along with their sister company Acoustic & Lighting System (“A&L”) took part in this year’s exhibition. AFS partnered with Hitron in showcasing their IP-Matrix, a virtual server supporting up to 1,000 channels, and various CCTV products. The booth itself consists of a 2×2 video wall that allows at least 50 CCTV footage to be displayed at once became the main attraction. Additionally, six desktop monitors were mounted on the booth wall to display featured systems such as the Kinect, a hardware built for Microsoft X-Box system, which integrates with Innodep’s software, used as a motion tracker that could be helpful in various CCTV situations. Other featured systems include the Face Recognition, License Plate Recognition, and Geographical Information System were also introduced to visitors. Hitron’s Overseas Sales General Manager and Overseas Sales Manager Mr. Chris Lee and Ms. Warrin provided visitors with insights on Hitron products and latest technology via their interesting presentation sessions held 3 times daily. A&L on the other hand, showcased Inter-M’s Public Address System for both public addresses and emergency broadcasting products. The Combination Amplifier was one of the main attractions as it has 24 contact ports for fire contact suitable for emergency broadcasting system.
All ends well for AFS as they bagged another award adding to their collection. Being the “Most Informative Booth” in the 2014, AFS was awarded the “Most Attractive Booth” by organizers of the exhibition this year. They were judged on the attractiveness of its products, informative sales representative and great presentation skills. The 3-day exhibition ended with a success for both AFS and A&L. Many visitors spared their time listening to our presentation, we are happy to see the level of interests there. Aside from gaining brand recognition, we were also able to gain insights on consumers concern related to security issues and PA systems.
