SSL Internal Training
MALAYSIA – Solid State Logic (SSL) in partnership with Acoustic & Lighting System (A&L) conducted their second SSL console training at Acoustic & Lighting System Malaysia. This internal training took place on the 24th of August to the 26th of August 2015.
Mr. Richard Wand, an engineer from SSL UK conducted the training along with SSL Asia, Mr. Chan and team. On Day 1, Richard began his session with a full introduction to SSL console parts, features and types of configuration. The training changed from theoretical to practical as Richard began dismantling the L500 console. Catered for audience that deals with maintenance, Richard shared his knowledge and gave easy explanation on the parts that he dismantled. Participants were able to get hands on experience in dealing with the L500 console hardware. With Richard’s guidance, participants were able to reconstruct the console.
Day 2 proceeded with a larger crowd as the training was no longer catered for maintenance personnel only. Richard began explaining each button and compartment of the console and its functions. Audience were exposed to faders, mixers and console display interfaces where they were able to experiment the audio it produced by setting different configurations. As for the final day, Richard gave the audience his very own SSL Test. He began calling one participant after another giving them scenarios and situation that required them to configure the SSL console to perform specifically. “It was a great experience, an eye opening for me”, commented one of the participants.
The training ended successfully for Acoustic & Lighting System as their employees gained wider knowledge not only on theories but also on practical and operational parts of the SSL L500 Console.
